Jan 23,  · DJs knew that Hot Tracks remixes were (generally) re-edits and re-arrangements of the 12 inch mix that was released by the record label with parts extended to mix in and out, etc whereas Ultimix (and to a lesser degree Disconet) more often than not had the multitrack masters and accapellas and went into a studio and re-built the tracks from the ground up changing a lot of elements.

Jan 11,  · naked music were the apitomy of originality since there inception. they bubbled on the underground but you can't keep quality a secret for long. there releases were little events, the sheer class of production, attention to graphoc design, even the website is amazing. true direction needed to evolve but has done so for the better, it's easy to remain in the past and even harder to get people.

When I first saw that scene, I just about fell off the couch laughing. A perfect song for that look on his face. I too could have done without the plunky sounding "Blister in the Sun" revision; it gets old to have to skip it. I'm also thinking of picking up Vol. 2 Grosse Pointe Blank soundtrack; I'd wondered where the other tracks went to; LOL/5().

Along with "The Exotic Moods of Les Baxter". This CD is the first and by far the best in the Ultra Lounge series, because it contains so much authentic exotica and less Ultra Lounge, the big band Rat Pack-style crooning that Generation X and Y "swingers" (mostly in L.A.) suddenly thought was cool in the mid's, only to move on to something else in about a year/5(58).
